The eTravel Pass is an electronic document for passengers entering or exiting the Philippines. It is used by the immigration authorities to keep accurate and up-to-date records of each individual passenger’s arrival or departure. It is used for boarder control, surveillance, health control and economic analysis.
All passengers traveling to and from the Philippines (with some exceptions) are required to register with the eTravel system
Using your mobile phone, you can acquire your pass by follow these steps.
- Visit the eTravel website and fill out the registration form.
- Fill out your personal profile.
- Provide your address information.
- Enter your travel details.
- Review the summary and submit your details.
- Save or download the eTravel Pass QR code.
By my experience, Terminal 1 immigration will always ask for this. They can check your form with or without your screenshot.
Sometimes, they would not ask it for reason that they can find some information from you previous e-travels.
So kailangan ba? Yes, it is needed but the officers have some discretion depending on their own preferences or moods. Better prepare it in advance.
